Baby's first Christmas was a green one. My family usually spends Christmas day snowshoeing, but this year we headed to the beach! Henry made sand angels and we waved to a paddle boarder on our hike at Petrie Island. We spent most of Rosie's first Christmas outside in nature and it was beautiful.
Happy Holiday Highlights...
Dressing up my baby girl for Christmas Eve mass. I loved picking out a special dress and those gold shoes. Meanwhile, Rosie decided to celebrate the holidays by taking her first steps. What a gift!
Matching Christmas Pajamas.
Smiling as I watched Henry unwrap his present from Santa and listening to his squeals of delight. It took my mom and I two hours to build the kitchen for the kids, but Henry's face when he saw it was worth every damn screw!
Mike made his famous french toast and mimosas for Christmas breakfast. For dinner, we feasted on delicious turkey, cocktails and gingerbread.
Now it's that time between Christmas and New Years, when we're all coming down from days-long sugar highs. I'm surviving this Christmas crash by planning a special first birthday party for my sweet baby girl. Much to come.
Also, my article Lessons from Ottawa Forest and Nature School was published in the winter issue of Ottawa Family Living Magazine. The magazine is on newsstands now, but you can also read it online here.
Cheers to 2016, friends!
