I haven't run in forever, but I laced my dusty shoes and started the Couch to 5k program with my mom. As my feet hit the pavement, I remembered why I love running so much. My pace is slow, my face is purple and my legs are screaming, but running makes me feel like I can do anything! The purpose of lacing up my running shoes has overlapped into my kitchen where I like to cool off with a healthy smoothie.
SERVINGS: 2
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup organic berries
1 cup coconut water
1 tsp organic vanilla
1 tsp maple syrup
1 tsp coconut oil
1 tbsp hemp seed
Combine all ingredients. Blend until smooth. Yum!
We celebrated the May long weekend with squeaky park swings and a trip to the cottage.

Go Alyssa go! I thought the C25K plan was a really gentle, do-able way to get into running again. It gave my body lots of time to work up slllowwwwlly and get to 5k in 9 weeks in a way that's kind to your body. Let me know if you want a run buddy!
