Winter Adventure

Oh, I am merry!

We went to Petrie Island today, there was plenty of untouched snow, and a happy baby boy strapped to my back. It was a beautiful winter wonderland-white as far as you could see and silent except for the wet crunch of snowshoes to powder.

My Christmas baby does well in cold temperatures, smiling with rosy cheeks. We snowshoed for a couple of hours and then enjoyed my homemade gingerbread-perfect for our apr├Ęs-hike snack.

Snowshoeing is one of my favourite winter activities. It's a great workout (burns 45 per cent more calories than walking or running at the same speed) and you don't need lessons for this sport. Try snowshoeing as a family this winter. You can rent gear at Gatineau Park for $7 an hour and the conservation area has fifty-five kilometres of snowshoeing trails.

Happy hiking, friends!

  3. It is better not to join with smokers and people with alcohol habit as they might be carrying these things and can force you to have some. Here
