I ironed his shirt today, combed his hair and made him wear a bow tie. I was all smiles as I pushed Henry in his stroller past rows of mall kiosks towards Santa's workshop. It was magical. Christmas carols were playing and little elves were handing out candy canes. Henry was very eager to meet Santa.
He waited patiently in line, but when Henry finally sat down on Santa's lap, he lost it.
My kid hates Santa.
Behind this scene, Mike and I were laughing our heads off. Why this is so funny, I don't know, but we now have an awesome picture for his baby book. I had a big burst of holiday enthusiasm this year. My Christmas shopping is done, presents are wrapped, cards are sealed and stamped and my home currently smells like shortbread cookies.
Now, it is time to focus on birthday party plans. Invites are in the mail.
I have a new holiday sponsor and a giveaway to go along with it. Cue the tossing of Christmas confetti!
Introducing Matelelé. All of Matelelé baby accessories are made with love in Montreal. I met Matelelé co-owner, Melina, at a craft show in Ottawa where she was selling funky bandana bibs for little babies with big personalities. I just had to get one for Henry and now your baby can drool in style too! One lucky commenter from this post will receive a bandana bib and Matelelé Christmas ornament, just in time for the holidays!
A winner will be announced on my next blog post.
Merry Merry Sunday, friends!
