Sick Day

     Last week was rough. Henry came down with a fever and broke out in a rash from head to toe. His doctor reassured me it wasn't measles or chicken pox. This first time mama was relieved to hear it was just a virus. So, we curled up on the couch together and laid low. My poor boy needed extra love and clung to me like a magnet. Even when he's sick, he's still as cute as ever!

I'm happy to report, Henry has fully recovered and is back to his smiley self. 

Happy highlights from our quiet week:

•   My dear friend gave birth to a beautiful baby girl! I got to cuddle all five pounds of her and breathe in her delicious newborn scent. Welcome to the world, Summer!

• We explored Almonte one sunny afternoon. We enjoyed a little taste of France at the Mill Street Crepe Company and I found Henry a cute pair of previously loved jeans from an adorable baby boutique on Mill Street.

• We went up to the cottage for a couple of days. My favourite part was when we took Henry swimming in the rain.

• Henry had a playdate with six little ladies. He didn't mind being the only boy. He had the time of his life playing with his baby friends and stealing their toys. It was funny to watch.
