Ode to my Girlfriends

When we were twelve, my girlfriends and I had a Spice Girls party. We dressed up as our favourite Spice Girl and spent the night dancing and singing along to their debut album "Spice". We even had a photo shoot and posed wearing platform shoes and crazy amounts of roll on glitter. It was so much fun. I believe the Spice Girls taught us two things:  (1) Girl Power! and (2) friendship never ends. It has been sixteen years since that Spice Girls party and I'm happy to say that we continue to show up for one another. This weekend, we had a bridal shower for Ginger Spice to celebrate her upcoming nuptials and it was a lovely afternoon.
The welcome sign for the blushing bride.
A shower gift for the bride-to-be. Guests were invited to sign their name on a piece of fabric and stick it on the train.

Handmade name tags for shower guests.
Homemade sangria. Yum!
The bridal shower menu included; traditional tea sandwiches, salads, a veggie tray, fruit platter and a dessert table.
The beautiful bride-to-be. She was showered with love, friendship and gifts!
The bridal shower favors I made from scratch.
Congratulations, Ginger! I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness. XOXO

I'm so excited to introduce my new sponsor, Red Chair Kids. Red Chair Kids is Ottawa's original baby boutique, offering fun, whimsical products with irresistible style.

Owner, Monica Gallivan, is offering a generous giveaway of an $80 gift bag to a randomly drawn commenter from this post. The gift bag includes a kid's tote, activity apron, jumbo magnetic letters, beach toys and play foam.

A winner will be revealed on my next blog post.

Giveaways make me happy and so do baby boys in Osh Kosh overalls.

Happy Sunday!
