Mother's Day

My mother is the most wonderful person I know. She is a strong, intelligent and beautiful role model. Now that I'm a mother, I truly understand the unconditional love she has for me. I am so excited to be celebrating my first Mother's Day. My baby has opened my eyes to just how beautiful this world can be. I am blessed.

We hosted Mother's Day brunch at our home this year. Our dining room was decorated with pink balloons and matching tulips. We celebrated with mimosas and my husband made his famous french toast topped with berries, maple syrup and whip cream.

My husband is adorable because he surprised me by "helping" Henry with his first Mother's Day craft. He said it was difficult to trace Henry's hands because he kept clenching them into tight fat fists.

Those are Henry's hands inside Mike's hands.
I'm so glad he was able to capture our little guy's hands because it will be a wonderful memory of how tiny Henry once was. There is a sweet and touching message on the back of the card, but I'm going to keep that for myself. I will cherish it always.

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers out there!
