Finding time to write can be a challenge with a newborn, but here I am! After dinner, I gave Henry a bath, nursed him and then handed him over to my husband. I needed to work on an assignment for my Creative Writing course, so I decided to set up shop at my local Starbucks. My little round table is now scattered with empty (and expensive) paper cups, but I got a lot of work done.
Writing is a passion of mine that began when I was in grade one. My mother kept all my elementary school journals, short stories and my teenage diary. We flip through them together from time to time for a good laugh.
When I found out I was pregnant, I went out and bought a journal because I wanted to write to the baby. Since Henry was born, I have continued writing to him because I feel this need to describe the love I have for him. I plan to do this for all my children and when they decide to get married and start a family of their own, I will give them their journals. Handwritten stories and thoughts are priceless in my opinion.
This is the first time I've left Henry with my husband for longer than an hour. I miss my boys already, but before I go here's Henry's latest picture...

My son. Just saying "my son" makes my heart skip a beat!
