My Funny Valentine

February 14th is a day to celebrate love, but instead of exchanging the usual romantic gifts, my family got together for a cheesy Valentine's Day party. Heart confetti, giant pom poms and red and white balloons set the scene.

To decorate the table, I filled mason jars with red and pink candies. Fresh cut roses and heart shaped candles were the finishing touch to my Valentine's Day presentation.

Henry's first Valentine's Day was a hit! He looked adorable in his Dr. Love onesie, while I opted for a hot pink cardigan and red lipstick. A Champagne toast was followed by a delicious feast of caesar salad, garlic bread, manicotti and homemade cake for dessert.

I had so much fun with my family as we performed our own version of the Harlem Shake and laughed at what we'd all look like with a few extra pounds using the FatBooth Iphone app. I know Valentine's Day is traditionally a romantic day for couples, but we've started a new tradition. I love that we're building family memories for years to come!

My favourite Valentine xoxo
